1. Your statutory rights
This policy does not reduce any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer law. Where legislation gives you a stronger right than this policy, the legislation applies.
2. Change-of-mind returns
For eligible unused goods bought through the OPCT IT Marketplace, OPCT accepts a change-of-mind return request within 7 calendar days after delivery or collection. The item must be complete, in resalable condition, with its accessories, manuals and original packaging where reasonably applicable.
For a change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for the direct cost and risk of returning the item to OPCT unless applicable law requires otherwise.
3. Items with return restrictions
Change-of-mind returns may be restricted for customised or specially ordered goods, activated or supplied digital/software licences, opened sealed software, consumables where the seal or packaging affects resale, and goods that cannot reasonably be resold for hygiene, security or licensing reasons. This does not remove statutory rights for defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods.
4. Defective or unsafe goods
If goods are defective, unsafe or do not meet the quality standards required by applicable law, contact OPCT as soon as possible. South Africa's Consumer Protection Act provides an implied warranty of quality and, in qualifying cases, remedies during the statutory period. OPCT will assess the item and apply the remedy required by law, which may include repair, replacement or refund.
5. Refurbished, used and open-box products
The product condition will be disclosed on the product record. Refurbished, used and open-box items may show reasonable prior-use or cosmetic signs consistent with the disclosed condition. Any known material limitation should be stated before sale. Statutory rights regarding undisclosed defects are not excluded.
6. Manufacturer and supplier warranties
Some products include a manufacturer or distributor warranty that may continue beyond OPCT's standard return window. Warranty periods and processes can differ by brand and product. OPCT will provide available warranty information on request.
7. Data and devices
Before returning a computer, laptop, drive, phone or other data-bearing device, back up your data and remove personal accounts where possible. OPCT is not responsible for data that was not backed up before a return or warranty assessment, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
8. Return process
Contact OPCT on 083 654 1000, email info@opct.co.za, or use the support portal at support.opct.co.za. Provide your order/invoice number, product SKU or serial number, reason for return, and photographs where relevant. OPCT will issue return instructions and assess the item after receipt.
9. Refunds
Approved refunds are made using an appropriate payment method after the return has been received and assessed. Delivery or return charges are handled according to the reason for return and applicable law.
